Quarantine Blog, Day Thirty-Nine

Through everything, the sun is still shining.

Even though the news makes it seem that the clouds are dark and covering the world.

I’ve been trying to spend less time on the social media apps these past few days.

Not to necessarily do much of anything else outside of staring through the window.

Or at the blinking cursor on a white laptop screen.

Sometimes I sit on the couch with my notebook open, just to feel the weight of my pen as it sits on the skin between my index finger and thumb.

It’s meditative to have the screens off these days.

Especially since I write these pieces on my computer.

It’s almost like I’m trying to keep my computer for work, and my phone for talking.

Sure, I still use Facebook Messenger to talk to my DnD group and the friends that I used to play Super Smash Brothers with (not that I wouldn’t still play with them, I’ve just been kind of deep into Animal Crossing for the past…month.)

And I’m still checking my Instagram DM’s for when friends are reaching out.

Every now and then even, I find my thumb scrolling through Twitter mindlessly.

I really do like Twitter.

I really don’t like that my space bar is acting up.

It makes writing these posts a little obnoxious.

Should I find another miniscule thing to complain about?

I bet it wouldn’t be that hard.

I’ve still got legs.

And I’m healthy.

Whatever whatever whatever.

Good evening.

Hope you’re well.

Abrupt ending.
