Quarantine Blog, Day Seventy-Five

There’s a Black Lives Matter protest at the State Theatre in a week from today.

Saturday, June 6, 2020. Starting at noon on Front Street.

I’m not the one organizing this event, but you can bet your ass that I’ll be there, and I’ll be documenting.

I won’t share your face if you don’t want me to. But I’ll share your message.

Wear a mask. Stay six feet apart from everyone outside your bubble.

We can’t do too much in a town like this, but the fact that we still care can do more than we think. It can show our congress people, our elected officials, our relatives from across the country that we are not okay with oppression. We’re not just going to sit back and take the violence against people of color, or against anyone.

There’s art to be made to assist the revolution.

There are friends to be met who need our voices too.

There are messages to spread.

It is our duty to help spread them.

I’ll see you on Saturday.
