Quarantine Blog, Day Thirty-Three

There’s a new thing going on right now.

The One World: Together At Home Special.

It’s like a big ol’ variety show of education, comedy, and music.

Headed by Lady Gaga, in partnership with the World Health Organization, it’s got faces and voices of people like Billie Eilish, John Legend, J-Lo, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, and all of the Late Night hosts that you can think of off the top of your head that are named Jimmy.

Billy Jo Armstrong sang Wake Me Up When September Ends, and really it changed the direction of my mindset for the night. Just some good memories attached to that track.

I’ll be honest, it isn’t the most enthralling Special that I’ve ever watched, but it is a nice reminder that there are still people outside of the house that I reside in.

There are some technical issues, and some Zoom calls that make things a little rough on the timing of the whole thing. But they’re trying, you know? And in these days of quarantine there’s a lot to be learned, and only so much to be done.

I propagated and re-soiled some plants in the house the other day. That felt good.

I hope you’re having a nice Saturday.

Read a book.

Watch a new movie.

Listen to a new album.

I miss you.
